Swimming advisory issued for 3 S. Fla. beaches
Health officials issued a swimming advisory for three beaches in Miami-Dade County on Wednesday after bacteria were found in the water.
The Miami-Dade County Health Department issued swimming advisories for Crandon Park South, Sunny Isles Park near 174th Street and Collins Avenue and North Shore Park at 74th Street and Collins Avenue.
Samples of water at the three beaches did not meet the U.S. Environmental Protection Agencies criteria for bacteria.
Health officials said people should not swim in these areas because it could pose an increased risk of illness.
The results of further tests on water from the three beaches are pending.
